And I am referring to the legs and other visual parts of our body.
A few years back – even in college, I never really bothered with this. I mean I do have nice legs if I say so myself and its not hairy even. Its just very thin and smooth.
but motherhood changed all that. i don’t know if it has something to do with my hormones going berserk when i gave birth lol but i never really liked my legs after giving birth! so to follow suit (friends who do shave) the following are products I have tried..for leg shaving 🙂
1. Aromacology’s cold wax
Description: An easy to use, no heat required wax to remove unwanted hair on arms and legs. 99% botanical-based made up mainly of sucrose and glucose; making it a safe choice for unwanted hair removal. It is less messy and doesn’t leave much wax after application. What’s more, it is cost-efficient because you can just use a sub-20 bond paper to use as a wax strip/cloth. Keeps your skin smooth up to three weeks.
Usage: Apply a thin layer of cold wax on desired area where hair is to be removed. Cover with paper or cloth for about 5 seconds and pull vigorously. Afterward, clean the skin with a cold moist towel to remove excess wax.
My Experience: applying it can be hard. Even with the use of a spatula, it can be very very sticky. Lol. With my long legs, it was tiring to apply it. Probably this would be nice on a smaller area but with larger area, it can be difficult. What i like about it though is the smell, of course its from beewax so its organic and it smells sweet. But applying it and putting a piece of paper or cloth and have to pull it alone – CAN BE VERY PAINFUL. It’s like torturing yourself.
I even had to ask my husband’s help in pulling the paper- he can do it fast. As for the result, satisfying especially if you leave the paper for quite sometime and you allow the hair to stick to the paper. The application part was just tiring.
2. GLAM hair removal cream
I purchased this from Watsons. Together with their GLAM pore strips (which i love too!)
(Sorry for the small picture-just from google, wasn’t able to take a picture of the one I purchased from Watsons)
I don’t have full description of this, but what I love about it is that it has Aloe vera extract, it does not leave you skin dry. High recommended plus they also have a product, Glam Soothing Lotion which you can use AFTER you use the hair removal cream. You just apply the cream and can wash it off – like Veet (see next) It also comes in strips.
3. Veet Hair Removal Cream
This one I tried only once, it can be expensive on my part. So I stick to GLAM. Anyways, Veet – it WORKS.
Veet’s cream dissolves rather than cuts hair, so unwanted hair takes longer to grow back than with shaving, and there’s no stubbly feel to regrowth.
Plus our gentle formulas leave your skin silky smooth, sexy and ready for anything.
Uncap the magic of Veet® 3 Minute Hair Removal Cream and you’re soon out the door – smooth and stress-free.
- 1 x 100ml tube
- 1 “Perfect Touch” Spatula

Lotus Milk and Jasmine to hydrate normal skin
Ingredients: Lotus milk for silky smooth hydration
Jasmine with a sweet scent.
That’s why I love it. Will definitely save for Veet this time around.
So that’s it – just sharing three products I’ve tried. 🙂 would love to take a picture of my legs though to show you that it worked but I still don’t have that courage hahaha!
and yeah, I also tried using just plain RAZOR but I always nip myself and I get cuts by the knee and I don’t like it and I have to have every other day.
